Description

wood, red grounding with accents in blue, white and black, protruding eyes with drop-shaped framing, surmounted by curved, asymmetrical horns, rep. (horn), min. dam., missing parts, cracks, paint rubbed off;
the “kplekple” masks accompany masks of the buffalo god “goli”. They are of lowest rank and serve to announce the appearance of masks of the “goli” family - namely “goli glin” and “goli kpwan”.


The object Mask “kplekple bla” with the object ID 3030850 was last part of the auction 68th tribal art auction at March 3, 2012 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 317 achieved a sales price of EUR 1,000.
