Description

wood, dark brown patina, red fabric, of oval hollowed form, carved with a narrow face with elongated chin, emphasized by vertical protruding horns and a long nose bridge, large parts coated with punched metal sheet, min. dam., small missing parts, slight traces of abrasion, base;
tall along the Niger this mask type is used for ceremonies associated with fishing and agriculture.
