Description

wood, dark brown patina, indigo blue pigment, the facial plane coated with punched metal sheet, three projections with red fringes in front of the face, crowned by a short pair of horns, pierced around the rim, min. dam., slight signs of abrasion:
all along the Niger this mask type is used for ceremonies associated with fishing and agriculture.
