Description
wood, black, white and red paint, covered with fine linear striations, slit-like eyes, min. dam., fine cracks, slight traces of abrasion;
such masks were mostly collected between 1900 and 1930. They are called “masques de case” (hut masks), they were not danced and had no holes at the rim for attachment of a costume; probably they were hung from the ceiling of the hut.
