Description

wood, brown patina, kaolin, black paint, a mask face of the “kifwebe” type superimposed in the centre, min. dam., traces of abrasion;
they have a dual function: first as a dance mask and secondly as an emblem of the “bifwebe” association to be hung to a wall or fence.


The object Mask board with the object ID 3032722 was last part of the auction 69th tribal art auction at June 2, 2012 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 430 achieved a sales price of EUR 200.
