wood, dark brown patina, red and white pigment, oversized nose, bonnet backside, min. dam., slight traces of abrasion.
Presumably belonging to the mask type of “nyibita” which is associated with a young warlord, and was danced at the court of the Kuba monarch.


The object Mask with the object ID 3043353 was last part of the auction 88th Tribal Art Auction at March 10, 2018 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 399 achieved a sales price of EUR 900.
