Description

wood, blackish brown patina, red and white pigment, with projection on the head, concave hollowed eye zone with sickle-shaped see slits, pointed mouth with central drilling, min. dam., insect caused missing parts, paint rubbed off in parts.
Masks are very rare among the Lulua. They are used in circumcision rites and at funerals of notables.
