wood, matt patina, remains of pigments, of oval form with flat chin, forehead and cheeks with geometrical scarifications, surmounted by slightly bent horns, rest. (horn), missing parts (right rim, chin), traces of abrasion;
the Basikasingo are a small eastern group of the dispersed Buyu people who inhabited the area prior to the arrival of the Bembe and Rega. The Bembe, who were good carvers in earlier times, personally passed this craft to the Basikasingo, who then in turn worked for the Bembe.
