Description

wood, matt dark brown patina, large face, eyes cut out, pierced corners of the mouth, traces of red pigment in the forehead area, dam., minor missing parts (nose), traces of insect caused damage, metal base;
according to a Nepalese source there was a category of masks sculpted in the memory of the ancestor who disappeared. Some masks are said to represent demons, others are clowns.
