Description

wood, lusterless patina, kaolin, black paint, elongated helmet form, coiffure arranged in several rows ending in a kind of chignon, pierced around the rim, missing parts through insect caused damage, traces of abrasion;
these masks are danced by members of the “ekpo” society, who take care for the well-being of the village and settle disputes.
