Description

wood, partly encrusted patina, white, black and blue paint remains, shield-shaped vaulted base with a mask face superimposed, circular piercings in the area of alar wings, mouth and chin, min. dam., small missing part, traces of abrasion, socle;
the mask style of the Lula is very similar to that of the neighbouring Holo, Zombo, Nkanu and Soso. These masks were used to protect initiates of witches and sorcerers.
