not available anymore
Size
H: 26,5 cm
H: 10.4 inch

Description

wood, slightly shiny patina, polychrome paint, u-shaped, dotted scarification marks, eyebrows accentuated by colour, pierced around the rim, min. dam., slight traces of abrasion;
the Lele are decisively influenced by neighbouring Kuba groups, which makes it difficult to differentiate their ritual artworks from those of the other Kuba kinsmen. Present mask form however is typical for the Lele.
