Description

wood, dark brown encrusted patina, remains of pigments, reduced forms, mouth with a kind of cleft lip, four holes for affixation, min. dam., slight traces of abrasion, socle;
only little is known about the usage of the masks. According to a Nepalese source there was a category of masks sculpted in the memory of the ancestor who disappeared. Some masks are said to represent demons, others clowns.
