Description

wood, matt patina, remains of polychrome paint, of elongated form with pointed chin, simplified facial features and circular pierced eyes, crowned by a standing female figure with crested coiffure, min. dam., cracks, traces of insect caused damage, on wooden base;
all masks of the Mossi have totemistic character and are part of genesis myths of the clan they belong to.
