Description

wood, blotched brown patina, encrusted in some areas (“osun”), indigo blue pigment, abundantly adorned with strings of glass beads and coconut discs, well-proportioned, in smooth and round forms, characteristic features: hood-like hairstyle with long flaps at the sides concealing the ears, a pear-shaped face widely projecting to the front (profile), large eyes framed by eye-lashes, the pupils originally accentuated with nails, slightly dam., minor missing parts (right ear of the female figure, left eye of the male)
