Description

wood, reddish brown patina, black paint, remains of indigo blue pigments, encrustations with redwood powder “osun” in some areas, strings with miniature glass beads and coconut discs, two cowrie snails attached, the pupils originally inset with metal tags (only one preserved), slightly dam., paint rubbed off, rep. (the left foot of each figure);
carved in the style of the carver Dagikonle of Igbomole.
