Description

wood, reddish brown patina, plant fibre bonnet on rattan frame, abundant coiffure of fabric knorling, eyebrows, whisker and moustache of fur, open mouth carved with single teeth, deeply grooved wrinkles on the forehead, slightly dam., minor missing parts (nose tip, left eye), missing parts in the bonnet, socle;
the fineness of the facial features (nose, eyes) reminding of the “mwana pwevo” masks of the Luena.
