Description

wood, animal horn, partly encrusted dark brown patina, remains of pigments, stopper in shape of a human head, plant fibre cuff, min. dam., slight traces of usage;
the horns of various animals were filled with magical substances and closed with large stoppers. They were used to cure, heal, cast spells, for divination and for exorcisms.


The object Magical horn with the object ID 3041899 was last part of the auction 85th Tribal Art Auction at March 4, 2017 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 492 achieved a sales price of EUR 2,000.
