metal, a) cup, h: 9 cm, d: 10,5 cm, the bottom decorated with anthropomorphic face, coiffure with edged contours, provided with engraved ornaments (squares with sun motif), diamond-shaped patterns at the sides, flaring rim, small traces of corrosion (above all inside);
b) lid of a receptacle, d: 11 cm, h: 7 cm, Benin, late 19th century, crowned by the seated figure of an “oba” with dignitary staff and fly whisk, receiving gifts from a vassal kneeling in front of him, around them lying scattered on the floor: weapons, tools, fruits, slaughtered animals, even the body of a human (?), bulging ring on the underside for fitting the lid on the receptacle, patina, missing part in the cast (human body)
