Description
wood, partly shiny brown patina, remains of pigments, with raised tail, the body coated with a partly blackened dotted pattern, carrying a laying pup on the back, dam., cracks, minor missing parts (tip of the tail), slight traces of abrasion;
the Woodland as well as the Grassland people looked upon leopards as being dangerous, mighty animals, which were associated with power and strength. They caused fear. Probably belonging to the “kungang-isango” (society of slaves).
