This type of shield was attributed to the Dinka for a long time. After examining field photos from the 1920s/1930s, Naegele was able to attribute it to the Nuer (cf . AHDRC 0193904).


The object Leaf-shaped shield with bump-shaped hallmarks with the object ID 3050569 was part of the auction 102nd Auction on April 13, 2024. The object with the lot number 336 achieved a sales price of EUR 950 with an asking price of EUR 400.
