Description

wood, remains of painting in white, red and black, traces of red pigment, metal teeth, remains of fabric from different materials, projecting forms, marked by two pairs of castagnet-shaped eyes and pointed nose plug, slightly dam., minor missing parts, abrasion of paint, holes from nails;
the Ngere are also called “southern Wè”. They settle to the southeast of the Dan and to the west of the Bete. The characteristic Ngere masks indulge in extreme presentations of human and zoomorphic elements.
