Description

wood, dark brown patina, curved lower rim, seven metal lamellas, surmounted by two human heads, min. dam., slight traces of usage;
the length of the keys determines the different pitches. While playing, the sanza is held in both hands and the two thumbs, sometimes even the forefingers are plucking the strings.


The object Lamellophone “sanza” with the object ID 3038400 was part of the auction 79th Tribal Art Auction on March 21, 2015. The object with the lot number 493 achieved a sales price of EUR 350 with an asking price of EUR 300.
