Headpiece of a “ntekpe” shrine figure once adorning the altar of a healer-diviner. “Ntekpe” ususally shows a male and a female figure sitting back to back. A comparable terracotta from the Kuhn Collection was auctioned at Sotheby’s New York in 1991.
