Description

copper, brass, gold-plated in parts, small half-spherical receptacle, the mask face of Mahakala to the front, a third eye on the forehead, wearing a diadem with three skulls and lotus petals, the latter provided with sleeves for insertion of the sticks of incense, inscription inside;
Mahakala is a tibetan buddhistic deity. He appears as a so-called “wrathful divninty”, typical for “a protector of buddhistic teaching”.
