Description
greyish-green stone, polished, facial features and limbs marked by notches, min. deposits, metal base;
the Mezcala idols of Mesoamerica developed from objects formed like stone axes. In the course of time the differentiation of human forms was increased, but the basic elements of the axe shape were retained.
