Description

wood, pigments, base

“Kpan pre” occurs as part of the “goli” masquerade, in which four pairs of masks appear in a strictly defined order. “Kpan pre” appears in third place, after “kple kple” and “goli glen” and is followed by “kpan”.

“Kpan pre” is depicted with a beard and horns, the latter probably in honour of the buffalo god “goli”.
