Description

wood, encrusted greyish brown patina, small remains of dark brown paint, carved with stylized hornbills and projecting scales, slightly dam., minor missing parts (crest, mask rim), traces of insect caused damage, cracks, abrasion of paint;
probably a “trophee cap”, which was awarded to the winner of a farming contest.
