Description

light-coloured wood, blotched brown patina, encrusted in some areas, elongated neck, rising from a square base with fine incised lattice pattern, flat heart-shaped facial plane, eyes and mouth marked by incised lines, slightly dam., crack (continuous on the left face half);
the Bane are an ethnical group in Cameroon, which belongs to the Fang (Pangwe).
