Description

wood, slightly encrusted dark brown patina, remains of pigments, ciselled metal disc attached to the forehead, a strip of metal sheet underneath, rep. (breakage ear), missing part (ear, neck), traces of abrasion and corrosion;
the jesters “korèdubaw” or “korèjugaw” form an autonomous social class. They have the right to make fun of potentates and dignitaries. So the mounted soldiers “sofaw” were caricatured by “korèdubaw” romping around astride on hobby horses “koredugaso”.
