grained wood, reddish brown patina, black paint in some areas, trough-shaped soundbox covered with animal skin, the squatting female figure on top elaborately carved (with well-rounded forms and filigree hands), a notch on the upper end of the soundbox and the two drilled holes in the figure may have served for attachment of the harp’s neck, where the strings were fixed, the drilled holes around the rim of the soundbox may have served for attachment of ornament, slightly dam., cracks, socle
