Description
brass sheet, of round forms in various sizes, decorated with chiselled and chased motifs, min. dam., partly small missing parts, traces of corrosion;
such receptacles were used for storing and heating sheabutter, which played an important role as a cosmetic, a fuel and as a foodstuff. Sometimes they were used for storing gold dust as well.
