Description

wood, matt patina, made from one piece, rectangular form, carved with a pair of small breasts, dam., traces of weathering, cracks, small missing parts, water spots, heavy metal base;
every family has several granaries, one for each of the wives and the rest for the head of the family, in which are stored millet, sorghum, rice, corn, beans etc. Personal valuables and family altars are sometimes also stored in granaries.


The object Granary door with the object ID 3042330 was part of the auction 86th Tribal Art Auction on May 27, 2017. The object with the lot number 199 achieved a sales price of EUR 2,600 with an asking price of EUR 1,500.
