wood, corroded iron, the long handle wrapped with bulges of fabric, embroidered with cowrie snails and glass beads, crowned by a janus head with nearly identical facial features, min. dam., lose head, fine cracks and tears;
single and double gongs, commonly made of iron, are the visual emblem and the authoritative voice of the regulatory society throughout the Grassfields.
