A comparable object, together with mallet, published by Ross, 2002, p. 230, ill. 8.14.

Such gold-covered wooden replicas of various objects were part of the sacred family heritage “aja”, which was stored in chests and bundles. This also included solid cast gold ornaments, unworked gold nuggets and gold dust, as well as cash, valuable cloths and ancestral stools.
