Description

ivory, slightly shiny patina, incised facial features, circle ornaments with central drilling, dam., cracks, slight traces of abrasion;
depiction of “kitende”, the frog (even known as “kituku” or “myangulanga”). The figure alludes to the fact that the initiate is of a separate breed and should not engage in lighthearted adventures.
