wood, a) female figure with raised arms, greyish black patina, h: 19 cm, slightly dam. (hands),metal socle; b) male figure with conical head, encrusted greyish brown patina, h: 14 cm, slightly dam., socle; c) figure with strictly symmetrical posture, black patina, regular carved, h: 10 cm, socle; d) male figure with tapering chin and crested coiffure, light-brown patina, encrusted in some areas, h: 21,5 cm, slightly dam., metal socle;
the first “bateba” belongs to the type of “bateba ti puo” = “dangerous persons”. The remaining can be assigned to the type of “ordinary bateba”, because they show no special gesture or any physiological symptom.
