Description

brass, various patina, scorpion, l: 7 cm, combined proverb: “the pain from a scorpion sting takes as long to subside as embers to cool down”; magician offering a cock to the “nkabere” fetish, h: 4,5 cm; two mudfish, l: 3 cm each, either formed naturalistic or ornamental, little missing part in the cast of one of them, proverb: “Whatever valuable the catfish swallows it does so for its master (the crocodile).”


The object Four goldweights: scorpion, magician and two mudfish with the object ID 3036271 was last part of the auction 76th tribal art auction at March 22, 2014 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 380 achieved a sales price of EUR 450.
