bronze, two pairs of figures/ twins “kunndugo”, h: 3-4 cm; two single figures, h: 2,3 - 3,5 cm

This small figures represent the small spirits of the natural world, the forests and waterways. The Kulango call them “korabohula” or “pinu”, meaning both “god” and “amulet”.The function of these talismans is to protect against the evils threatening humans.


The object Four figural amulets / talismans with the object ID 3045489 was last part of the auction 91 Tribal Art Auction at March 9, 2019 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 140 achieved a sales price of EUR 1,000.
