Description

wood, dark brown patina, a ring-shaped base, carved with a leopard, supporting the actual bowl carved with reptiles, dam., cracks, missing parts through insect caused damage;
the leopard embodies certain attributes like quickness, survivability and aggressiveness which were transferred on the king. So he became the most important royal symbol, like an “alter ego” of the king.


The object Foot bowl with the object ID 3032921 was last part of the auction 69th tribal art auction at June 2, 2012 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 240 achieved a sales price of EUR 600.
