Description

wood, red and dark brown patina, in military posture and elaborate military attire, high headdress with german Reichsadler (?), slightly dam., minor missing parts, traces of insect caused damage;
can be ascribed to the “Kaiser Wilhelm Master” because of physiognomy (eyes in deep hollows, nose with broad bridge) and design of the hands.


The object Figure of an Askari with the object ID 3037515 was last part of the auction 78th tribal art auction at October 18, 2014 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 534 achieved a sales price of EUR 240.
