Description

wood, reddish brown patina, remains of black paint, carved with snake, animal (dog/baboon?), horse (detailled with saddle and bridle) and human figure with stick, incised inscription “pr 86” on the front and “8891” on the backside, wooden ball on top/slightly dam., abrasion of paint.
Motives partly borrowed from the polo game of the British colonial officers (horse and player with stick/wood ball).
