Description

brass, the body follows a zigzag line, with the arms arched back to form gaps that allow the figures to be hang on a string worn around the neck, patina of usage;
such small figures, depicting one or more characters, are called „anyedos“. They are pendants with protective function and it is prooved that they were used to weigh gold dust as well.


The object Figural amulet with the object ID 3036819 was part of the auction 77th tribal art auction on June 28, 2014. The object with the lot number 216 achieved a sales price of EUR 900 with an asking price of EUR 600.
