Description

wood, slightly encrusted middle brown patina, strings of glass beads, coiffure of real hair, characteristic form, incised geometrical ornaments backside, min. dam., traces of insect caused damage at the back, on base;
these figures were used to be carried by young women in order to get pregnant and give birth to a healthy and beautiful child.


The object Fertility doll with the object ID 3033237 was part of the auction 70th tribal art auction on September 8, 2012. The object with the lot number 282 achieved a sales price of EUR 2,800 with an asking price of EUR 2,500.
