wood, rich reddish brown shiny patina, black paint, camwood powder “osun”, eight strings of coconut discs and miniature glass beads, large head with fanciful headdress, eyes with notched eyelashes and drilled pupils, small body with handle-shaped arms, vertical incisions on the cheeks, slightly dam., crack (disc-shaped base), base;
ibeji" statuettes are memorial figures for deceased twins. They were cared for just as for the surviving child itself.
