Description

wood, brown patina, poker work, coiffure with drilled hole, originally holding a small animal horn, slightly dam. (hands), cracks, missing parts (left foot), base;
this figure represents a diviner’s tutelary ancestral spirit. Magical materials were inserted in the cavity on the head to activate the spirit represented by the sculpture. The (now missing) horn served as a closure and was intended for keeping the supernatural power in the figure.
