Description

light brown wood, remains of kaolin, black paint, covered by a long dress, painted shorts with black dots, elaborate facial features and coiffure with side parting, rep. (breakage right foot), missing part (left foot), slight traces of abrasion;
a work of Adima Atiiogbe Mathias (1939, Zio - 1993) carving exclusively remittance works. His very elaborated and naturalistic figures show european influences of the colonial times (Colon style).
