Description

wood, matt brown patina, black paint, strong body with angular arms, prominent triangular scarifications on the belly, further ones on the breast, back, neck and face, the essential accentuated by black paint (facial features, tattoos, female sexual characteristics), carved with bracelets and belt, slightly dam., cracks, old places of repair at the base/right foot (aglet, some wooden pieces reinserted);
a comparable female bowl bearer figure can be found in the Museum für Völkerkunde Berlin (Krieger 1978, I: Ill. 35).
