Description
wood, greyish brown patina, drilled holes in the eye zone recognizable, incised six-strand necklace, knotholes, traces of weathering, cracks, insect caused missing parts (bottom), metal base;
the figure presumably once was applied with disc-shaped eyes from horn or ostrich egg shells which are now missing. Newly carved figures were painted with red ochre; teeth were made from goat bones.
