wood, rich blackish brown shiny patina, of characteristic oval form with protruding forehead and narrow slit eyes, which originally were framed with metal applique, high arching eyebrows, nose with “hanging” tip, unusual: carved with ears, slightly dam. (nose, mouth), minor missing parts backside at the rim
